The Fountain Hills Town council voted against the proposed Election Integrity Resolution at their April 2 meeting.

The resolution would have withdrawn the town from a lawsuit by directing the town attorney to not oppose it. The resolution also proposed opening up discussion on having a town referendum for local zoning matters.

The Resolution was voted down in a 4-3 vote. Mayor Ginny Dickey, Councilman Peggy McMahon, Councilman Sharron Grzybowski, and Councilman Brenda Kalivianakis voted against the resolution.

Councilman Hannah Toth, Councilman Gerry Friedel, and Councilman Allen Skillicorn voted for the resolution.

"I represent the people, not the developers,” Skillicorn said. “A judge is going to decide this case, the town needs to wash our hands of the appearance of impropriety."
