Learn the art of crafting poetry in this writing workshop from Scottsdale's Poet Laureate Lois Roma-Deeley.
Lois Roma-Deeley’s most recent poetry collection is Like Water in the Palm of My Hand. Her previous books include The Short List of Certainties; High Notes; northSight; Rules of Hunger. Her poems are published nationally and internationally. She’s Associate Poetry Editor of Presence. Roma-Deeley was named U.S. Professor of the Year, Community College, by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and CASE, 2012-2013. She holds an MFA from Arizona State University as well as a Ph.D. from The Union Institute and University. Roma-Deeley has read her work nationally at colleges, universities, museums and galleries, arts organizations, and community centers. She is Scottsdale, Arizona’s Poet Laureate (2021-2024)
