The monumental Park Central revitalization effort will change the shopping area into the city’s No. 1 location for business and play.
The addition of a new, ultra-modern hotel will help make sure that it is also the go-to spot for travelers. The Home2 Suites/Tru by Hilton hotel from Dallas-based Fayth Hospitality Group will help supply 207 more guest rooms to the Park Central property. It will cover five stories and 105,000 square feet of space.
The hotel’s construction is slated to start in late 2020. The hotel, to be built on the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Monterey Way, will boast many appealing features, such as a new rooftop pool and mini-marketplace.
“This is a natural next step for the Park Central property, and we’re eager to add a new option for travelers who come to the area for work or leisure,” said Sharon Harper of Plaza Companies. “The Home2 Suites/Tru by Hilton dual brand hotel offers accommodations for both short- and long-term stays in a vibrant, affordable environment with multigenerational appeal. It’s an ideal fit, given the scope of this project, and we’re eager to watch it take shape.”
