Scottsdale Scoop, a local newsletter and community platform, has announced the launch of its January Giveaway Series. The initiative aims to help Scottsdale-area businesses gain more visibility and engagement on Instagram at no cost to participating companies.

During January 2026, Scottsdale Scoop will feature one local business each day on its Instagram account, which currently has over 8,500 followers. This social media activity is supported by the publication’s newsletter audience of more than 10,000 subscribers.

“We’ve built an incredibly engaged community of locals who actively seek out and support Scottsdale businesses,” said John Apolinar, Founder of Scottsdale Scoop. “This giveaway series is our way of giving back to the businesses that make our city special while helping them grow their own social media presence.”

To participate in the program, each business will be highlighted for a single day and must provide a giveaway prize such as a gift card, service voucher, event tickets, or product. Followers can enter by following both Scottsdale Scoop and the featured business on Instagram. Winners are chosen randomly. All promotion activities, winner selection, and prize delivery are managed by Scottsdale Scoop.

The program is free for businesses aside from supplying their chosen prize. Organizers state that this provides an opportunity for companies to reach new customers and boost their online following during a time when many consumers are seeking out new options in the area.

“January is when people are looking to try new restaurants, support local businesses, and engage with their community,” Apolinar added. “This series creates a win-win: our followers discover great local businesses, and those businesses gain genuine, engaged followers who are already interested in what Scottsdale has to offer.”

Since its founding by John Apolinar, Scottsdale Scoop has worked with many local establishments including restaurants and service providers. The platform emphasizes connecting residents with quality experiences through its reporting style.

Businesses interested in joining the January Giveaway Series can contact John Apolinar at john@thescottsdalescoop.com. There are 31 available spots—one per day—and they will be filled on a first-come basis.

Scottsdale Scoop describes itself as a locally-owned media outlet providing recommendations about dining options, events, and other happenings in the area through its email newsletter and Instagram page.
