Scottsdale has introduced a new Constituent Services Team aimed at providing residents with quicker and more personalized support for city services. The team consolidates ScottsdaleEZ, the City Call Center, and constituent liaisons into a single point of contact for inquiries and service requests. Since its launch in May, the team has managed over 350 cases, resolving 90% within two weeks. Their responsibilities include addressing issues ranging from traffic concerns to complex multi-department matters, coordinating directly with city departments, and offering updates to residents. Staff also engage with community groups in the field and oversee the city’s Mediation Program to help resolve neighborhood disputes.

The city is also considering updates to fire-defensible space regulations within Environmentally Sensitive Lands (ESL) areas. Two open houses are scheduled where residents can learn about proposed changes to both the ESL Ordinance and Fire Code. The objective is to modernize these rules so they better reflect current environmental conditions and address previously identified issues.

Public meetings are scheduled throughout December, including City Council regular meetings on December 1 and 2, a Veteran’s Advisory Commission meeting on December 3, and a Paths and Trails Subcommittee meeting on December 4. Additional meetings such as the Budget Review Commission Special Meeting will occur during the week of December 8.

Families are invited to attend the Scottsdale Public Library’s Ultimate Family Play Date on Saturday, December 6 at Scottsdale Civic Center. The event features interactive booths focused on art, science, literacy, music, nature experiments, and more.

Holiday Lights at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park runs nightly through December 30 with light displays and train rides; tickets must be purchased online due to limited capacity.
