The City of Scottsdale is seeking community feedback on design options for the Brown Avenue Parking Structure Expansion. A public meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Civic Center Library Auditorium located at 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd.

The proposed project involves expanding the current city-owned parking structure at 1st Street and Brown Avenue by adding two additional levels. Design work will continue through the end of 2025, with construction expected to begin in summer 2026.

An initial outreach session took place in May, where residents and stakeholders shared their priorities for the improved facility. The input from that session informed preliminary floor plans and exterior concepts that will be presented and discussed at the upcoming meeting. Afterward, these concepts will be available online for further review and comment on the city’s project webpage.

“Voters approved funding to provide additional parking facilities in Old Town as part of the 2019 Bond election,” according to city officials. “On Jan. 28, the City Council approved a Design Build Manager of Chasse Building Team to design and build the garage expansion at this location.”

Residents interested in updates or viewing design concepts after the meeting can visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search “Brown Avenue Parking.”
