Scottsdale’s annual Fall Festival, now in its 54th year, will take place at a new venue following the recent renovation of Scottsdale Civic Center. The event, which has been a longstanding tradition for the community, is scheduled for Saturday, October 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 3939 N. Drinkwater Boulevard.

The Scottsdale Civic Center underwent major upgrades in 2023 after voters approved funding in a 2019 bond measure. The improvements have transformed the area into a central space for public events and gatherings, with enhanced amenities such as a splash pad and playground.

“Scottsdale Civic Center gives us the perfect opportunity to grow Fall Festival while keeping it free and welcoming for all,” said Nick Molinari, senior director. “From carnival games and candy to live music and the new cocktail garden, it’s truly a night the whole family can enjoy.”

This year’s festival will feature live performances by both a band and DJ, as well as a magic show. For the first time, there will be a cocktail garden for adult attendees. Families can participate in over 25 carnival-style games along with crafts, face painting, and activities like Trick-or-Treat Alley where children can collect treats. Costumes are encouraged but not required; admission and all activities are free.

More than 20 city departments will host interactive booths at the event to provide information about municipal programs and offer residents an opportunity to engage with city staff directly. The Scottsdale Public Library will present “Tales from the Haunted Stacks,” an experience featuring storybook monsters designed primarily for ages ten and up but open to all visitors.
