Scottsdale Water has completed its fall 2025 Citizen Water Academy, ending the session on October 8. The program, which is held twice a year, allows residents to learn about the city’s water supply and management.

Over five weeks, more than 30 participants attended presentations and toured facilities such as the Advanced Water Treatment Plant. They also took part in demonstrations led by Scottsdale Water staff. The academy aims to help residents understand how the city maintains safe and reliable water service.

According to Scottsdale Water Interim Senior Director Kira Peters, “Scottsdale Water is proud to offer this opportunity for our community to see how seriously we take our responsibility to deliver exceptional water service. Our goal is to help residents understand not just where their water comes from, but the science, technology, and teamwork behind every drop.”

The program provides insight into Scottsdale’s approach to water innovation, conservation efforts, and long-term planning. Information about future sessions will be posted on the city’s website.
