City Manager Greg Caton has promoted Judy Doyle and Kira Peters to deputy city manager positions. Doyle joined the city in 2003 and most recently served as Senior Director of Enterprise Operations, overseeing departments such as Aviation, Economic Development, Tourism & Events, and WestWorld. Peters brings 35 years of municipal leadership experience and was previously Senior Director for Library & Human Services and interim Senior Director for Scottsdale Water. Caton stated that these appointments are part of a broader effort to strengthen leadership alignment and operational oversight within the organization. Scottsdale has completed its expanded Fall 2025 paving program with an investment of approximately $18.5 million—more than double the previous year’s cost. Of this amount, $7 million was dedicated to improvements in Old Town as part of the Old Town Revitalization Program. City crews resurfaced over 1.5 million square yards across Scottsdale, including nearly 368,000 square yards in Old Town alone. The work focused on preserving pavement quality while minimizing disruption in busy areas through coordinated efforts among city departments and contractors.
The Scottsdale Fire Department is collecting unwrapped toys and gift cards through December 22 at all fire stations and headquarters as part of its annual toy drive supporting families in need.
