Scottsdale Airport to host free outdoor screening of Star Wars: A New Hope

Scottsdale Airport announced on Mar. 20 that it will host a free outdoor movie night featuring “Star Wars: A New Hope” on Saturday, April 18. The event is open to families and will take place on the airport ramp, surrounded by aircraft and entertainment options.

The movie night aims to provide a unique aviation-themed experience for the community, combining film with static plane displays, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and a fire truck presentation. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with the movie scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. The event is hosted by Volanti Restaurant and Lounge in partnership with Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation, and Signature Aviation.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating. Free parking is available across from the main aviation building at Scottsdale Airport, located at 15000 N. Airport Drive. Event organizers recommend using rideshare services due to expected attendance. Pets as well as outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Scottsdale has long been recognized for its blend of Western heritage and cultural activities, attracting artists, writers, and health seekers since its early years according to the official history page.
