Scottsdale Airport is moving forward with updates to its Master Plan, a document that outlines long-term development and operations at the facility. The airport will hold a public workshop on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Signature Aviation Private Hangars, located at 15003 N. Airport Drive. The event will provide information on proposed improvements and allow community members to offer feedback on development alternatives for both airside and landside areas. No RSVP is required, and attendees can visit at any time during the open house. Airport staff and consultants will be present to answer questions and collect input.

A recent milestone in the process was reached when the Federal Aviation Administration approved the Aviation Forecast section of the Master Plan Update. This approval enables planners to assess whether current airport facilities can support anticipated growth. The forecast includes benchmarks that indicate when upgrades or new infrastructure might be necessary.

City Manager Greg Caton commented on the significance of the plan, stating, “The master plan is our blueprint for managing growth responsibly and ensuring the airport continues to serve the community safely and efficiently. The forecast gives us valuable insight into how the airport may evolve in the coming years and helps guide discussions about future improvements.”

Additional information about the Scottsdale Airport Master Plan Update, including draft chapters, is available online. Updates can be received by subscribing to Scottsdale Airport’s e-newsletter or following the airport on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
