Rep. Joseph Chaplik, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing the state’s 3rd House District since 2023, has recently posted several statements on social media addressing issues related to higher education, public health initiatives, and media coverage of law enforcement.

On January 6, 2026, Chaplik criticized an unnamed institution for its alleged ideological leanings and financial practices. He stated, “This is not surprising from an institution that promotes communism on their campus and caters to Marxist revolutionary student groups. I am tired of Arizonans footing the bill for these scams I call on my colleagues, especially alums, to join me in taking a hard line on this”.

Two days later, on January 8, 2026, Chaplik expressed his support for a movement led by @SecKennedy and involvement with @BGCGS. He wrote: “I fully support the MAHA Movement created by @SecKennedy and will be putting in more time with @BGCGS to emphasize fitness along with these very smart changes in what types of foods we feed our families.”

On January 9, 2026, Chaplik turned his attention to national news coverage and law enforcement matters. He claimed: “The fake corporate news wants lawlessness in this country. They supported the Bidenvasion and took the side of international crime syndicates over American citizens. Now they support those who block ICE officers from doing their job and attempt to murder them in the streets.”

Chaplik was elected to his legislative seat in 2023 after replacing former state representative Andres Cano. As a member of Arizona’s legislature from District 3, he has been vocal about topics including campus politics and public safety.
