Rep. Joseph Chaplik, a Republican currently serving in the Arizona State House, announced his candidacy for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). In his statements, Chaplik outlined his priorities and highlighted endorsements from several conservative leaders.
On December 15, 2025, Chaplik declared his campaign with the message: “Today, I announce my candidacy in #AZ01. AZ needs a battle-tested conservative to fight reckless spending, make communities safe, secure the border and put the people ahead of special interests. I’ve done it at the State Capitol. I’ll take the fight to DC.”
The following day, he emphasized his legislative record: “I’m proud of my record protecting individual freedom, fighting for fiscal conservative policies, lowering taxes for all Arizonans, defending parental rights, cracking down on crime and securing the border. I made promises and kept them. I’ll do it again.”
Later on December 16, Chaplik expressed gratitude for endorsements from local conservative figures: (1/3) I’m grateful to these Arizona Conservative leaders for their endorsements! @JerrySheridan24 @LisaFink4AZ @LaurinHendrix @RJ4arizona @RealAlexKolodin @DrRalphHeap @DaveMarshallAZ @_JustinOlson @BevPingerelli Mayor Gerry Friedel Cont…”
Chaplik was elected to represent Arizona’s 3rd House District in 2023 after replacing former state representative Andres Cano.
