Rep. David Schweikert, a U.S. Congressman who won re-election in 2024 and 2022, recently posted a series of statements on his Twitter account addressing economic issues, international scams, and government spending.

On January 12, 2026, Schweikert commented on wage growth, stating “Real wage growth is the kind of math I like. It is how families win without a subsidy.”

The following day, he addressed concerns about online scam operations based in Myanmar. On January 13, 2026, Schweikert wrote: “Myanmar scam compounds are using forced labor to run “pig butchering” operations that target Americans.

Schweikert’s recent public remarks come after consecutive electoral victories; he defeated Amish Shah in the 2024 general election with 51.9% of the vote and previously overcame Jevin Hodge in the closely contested 2022 race with just over half the votes.
