Rep. David Schweikert, a U.S. Congressman from Arizona, has recently addressed issues ranging from healthcare technology regulations to local energy development and public service priorities in a series of posts on his social media account.

On January 6, 2026, Schweikert expressed frustration with regulatory barriers in healthcare technology, writing, “It blows my mind that we have tech to reduce hospital costs and improve care, but old regulations block it. Why can’t an FDA-approved AI help prescribe your meds or manage chronic care? If it cuts costs and saves lives, let’s make it legal.”

The following day, January 7, 2026, he highlighted his legislative efforts to promote renewable energy and job creation in Arizona: “I co-sponsored the La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation Act to move federal land into local hands for responsible energy development. It creates jobs, strengthens Arizona’s economy, and includes clear safeguards for tribal and environmental resources.”

Later on January 7, Schweikert posted a brief message emphasizing the importance of responsibility in governance: “Duty over drama. “

Schweikert’s recent statements come after successful re-election campaigns in both 2022 and 2024. In the most recent election cycle of 2024, he defeated Amish Shah with 51.9% of the vote to Shah’s 48.1%. In the previous cycle of 2022, he narrowly won against Jevin Hodge by a margin of less than one percent.
