Joseph Chaplik, Republican State Representative for Arizona District 3, said news outlets align with groups disrupting law enforcement duties during recent federal activities.
“the fake corporate news wants lawlessness in this country,” said Joseph Vincent Chaplik, State Representative from Arizona. “they supported the bidenvasion and took the side of international crime syndicates over american citizens. now they support those who block ice officers from doing their job and attempt to murder them in the streets. america first means defending ice and our law enforcement.”
According to Chaplik, he posted on X in response to a White House video featuring Vice President Vance addressing media narratives on immigration enforcement. The content focused on policy alignments and received engagement, including likes and a reply connecting to Arizona politics. This reflects broader conversations on federal priorities in public safety.
In Arizona, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests totaled 6,153 in the fiscal year 2025 as enforcement efforts intensified under national directives. Community organizers referenced prior local experiences to strategize responses to expected increases in operations. Reports suggested developments for additional detention capacity to handle expanded activities in the area.
According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data, assaults on ICE officers increased by over 1,300 percent in 2025 relative to the prior year. Vehicular incidents rose by 3,200 percent while threats escalated by 8,000 percent during the period. Officials linked these patterns to resistance from specific policymakers amid ongoing removals.
Chaplik holds a degree from Bowling Green State University and built a career in telecommunications before founding an investment real estate firm. He entered public service in 2019 and secured election to the Arizona House in 2020. As a Republican, he represents District 3 and co-founded the state’s Freedom Caucus.
