Joseph Chaplik, an Arizona state representative, has called for the resignation of Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) Governing Board member Matt Pittinsky following reports of an underage party linked to Pittinsky’s household.

“It only gets worse,” said Joseph Vincent Chaplik, State Representative from Arizona. “Over 500 kids were at this ‘rave’ with underage drinking. He should not be in charge of a school district and your children’s future. I am calling on him to do the right thing today and resign.”

Scottsdale Unified School District Board Member Matt Pittinsky is under public scrutiny after allegations surfaced that an off-campus party associated with his household involved underage drinking. This situation has prompted community and political leaders to question his judgment and leadership within the district.

The Scottsdale Unified School District serves approximately 22,000 students across 29 schools. The district enforces strict policies on student safety, substance use prevention, and community standards, which have become focal points amid this controversy.

Arizona law imposes criminal penalties for providing alcohol to minors, including fines and possible jail time. The Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control enforces statutes aimed at deterring underage drinking and promoting responsible adult supervision at events.

Chaplik is a Republican state representative for Arizona’s 3rd Legislative District. Known for his advocacy on education accountability, public safety, and limited government, he frequently addresses issues involving community standards and responsible leadership.
