Arizona House Representative Joseph Chaplik has announced his candidacy for the state’s 1st Congressional District. He emphasized his commitment to fiscal conservative policies, lower taxes, and public safety in his campaign.

“Proud of my record protecting individual freedom,” said Joseph Vincent Chaplik, State Representative from Arizona. “Fighting for fiscal conservative policies. I made promises and kept them. I’ll do it again.”

Chaplik’s remarks reflect ongoing debates in Arizona regarding taxation, border enforcement, and education reform. His focus on fiscal conservatism and parental rights aligns with broader Republican legislative priorities within the state.

According to recent legislative actions, Arizona lawmakers have passed several tax-cut packages since 2021. These measures have reduced the state’s income tax to a flat rate of 2.5%, marking it as the lowest among states with an income tax. This reduction aims to boost economic growth and attract new businesses to the region.

Efforts to enhance Arizona’s border security include the establishment of a $335 million Border Security Fund in 2022. This fund supports fencing, technology, and law enforcement staffing to curb illegal crossings and drug trafficking.

Chaplik is a Republican House Representative from Scottsdale, Arizona, first elected in 2020. As a businessman and advocate for limited government, he has championed legislation focused on public safety, tax reform, and the protection of parental rights.
