Pamela Carter, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2025 representing District 4, has announced the introduction of new legislation aimed at protecting minors from online harassment and suicide encouragement.
On February 8, 2026, Carter posted on social media: “I introduced HB 2665, ‘Cade’s Law: If You See Something, Say Something. When adults deliberately target kids online with messages encouraging suicide, Arizona law should hold them accountable. Our kids deserve protection in the digital age. Watch and share.”
The following day, she provided an update regarding the bill’s progress: “Mon 2/9/26: My bill HB 2665 — Cade’s Law — goes before the AZ Public Safety Committee at 2 PM. Right now, Arizona law doesn’t fully cover adults who use social media or texts to coerce a minor into taking their own life. This bill closes that loophole.”
Later on February 9, Carter also shared information about her live appearance before a legislative committee: “Speaking live now – House Public Safety & Law Enforcement”.
Carter assumed office after winning election in November 2025 and succeeded Laura Terech as state representative for Arizona’s 4th House District.
