Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky has expressed strong support for recent developments at WestWorld of Scottsdale, highlighting the venue’s increased investments and expansion of events in 2025.

During her first term, Mayor Borowsky prioritized maintaining and enhancing the reputation of WestWorld. City officials noted that the venue ended the year with greater attendance and a wider range of national, regional, and community events.

Stakeholder meetings led by the mayor’s office resulted in targeted infrastructure improvements at WestWorld. These included new permanent barns, an updated public address system, and important drainage upgrades.

“These advances reflect Scottsdale’s dedication not just to preserving WestWorld, but to enhancing it as a vibrant driver of tourism and community opportunity,” Mayor Borowsky said. “Protecting WestWorld isn’t merely about supporting events—it’s about safeguarding an economic engine that sustains local jobs, fills hotel rooms and bolsters our city’s identity.”

WestWorld spans 386 acres and hosted approximately 80 events over 257 event days last year. City officials reported that these activities generated significant economic impact across Arizona.

“Our investments this year strengthen the visitor experience and secure Scottsdale’s position as a premier Western lifestyle and tourism destination,” Mayor Borowsky added.

Mayor Borowsky is recognized for her leadership in Scottsdale, focusing on effective governance and promoting community involvement as a long-term resident. She supports programs benefiting children, older adults, and underserved youth through various initiatives according to the official website. Her administration also emphasizes resident engagement with regular updates on city affairs (source).
