Matt Gress, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing the 4th District since 2023, recently shared updates and reflections on his official Twitter account.

On January 12, 2026, Gress expressed gratitude for a visit from a guest, posting: “Thanks for spending the day with us, Dr. Jameson!”

Two days later, on January 14, 2026, he paid tribute to a public figure with the message: “A defender of the rule of law, a fighter for freedom, and an exemplary public servant. Rest in peace, General Brnovich.”

On January 15, 2026, Gress commented on legislative action regarding tax relief measures in Arizona. He stated: “Today, I voted YES on real tax relief for Arizona families. Seniors can exclude up to $6,000 in retirement income, service workers won’t be taxed on tips, and for the first time ever families won’t pay state taxes on child & dependent care expenses. This is about affordability,”

Gress was elected to represent Arizona’s 4th House District in 2023 after succeeding former representative Joel Joh.
