In a post published on January 12, 2026, Gress stated: “Happy Opening Day! The Arizona Legislature convenes its Second Regular Session today. I’m ready to continue working on behalf of Arizonans when it comes to the cost of living, education quality, and public safety.”

Later that day, he expressed gratitude to a local official: “Thanks Councilman Kwasman for joining me for Opening Day and thank you for your service to our community!” (January 12, 2026).

Gress also shared details about his guests at the event in another post: “Honored to welcome my guests for Opening Day of the Arizona Legislature! Scottsdale City Councilman Adam Kwasman; Andrea Gress, my stepmom; Billy Kluttz, a graduate school colleague and the man who officiated my wedding; and Daniel Scarpinato, my husband. Off to a strong start” (January 12, 2026).

Gress was elected to represent Arizona’s 4th House District in 2023 after succeeding former state representative Joel Joh.
