Matt Gress, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing the 4th District since 2023, has used his social media platform to voice concerns over local education spending and state drug policy.

On November 6, 2025, Gress called for a halt to plans for a new stadium in Tolleson Union. He wrote, “Plans for the $80 MILLION dollar domed stadium *must* be paused. Tolleson Union taxpayers are tired of being abused and ignored by their school district.”

Later that day, he posted another message containing three “100” emojis: “”.

On November 9, 2025, Gress addressed drug policy in Arizona. He stated, “This video is tragic but true. I introduced a bill to ban drug injection sites in Arizona because they endanger users & harm our neighborhoods. @GovernorHobbs vetoed it, suggesting these sites could be a ‘common sense solution’ to addiction. Arizona deserves a better governor.”

Gress was elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 after replacing former representative Joel Joh.
