Scottsdale travelers will have a new direct route to Mexico as JSX launches nonstop service between Scottsdale Airport and Cabo San Lucas beginning in October 2026.
The new flights will provide direct access to Los Cabos, a destination known for luxury leisure travel, and are expected to enhance Scottsdale Airport’s reputation as a gateway for both business and recreational aviation. Mayor Lisa Borowsky said on June 3 that the new service is “another milestone in expanding opportunities for our residents and visitors.” Borowsky added, “Direct international access from Scottsdale Airport strengthens our local economy, supports tourism and reinforces our city’s position as a global destination.”
JSX will offer the service with private terminal access, simplified security procedures, and spacious seating. Rick Wielebski, aviation director for Scottsdale Airport, said, “We are thrilled to welcome JSX’s new nonstop Cabo service to Scottsdale Airport. This announcement reflects the continued demand for premium, convenient air travel options in our community and reinforces Scottsdale’s position as a world-class destination and aviation hub.”
Flights are planned to operate multiple times per week. The airline is expected to announce schedules, fares, and booking information soon.
Borowsky has supported community initiatives for children and underprivileged youth through board roles; she also served on the City Council from 2008 to 2012 advocating fiscal conservatism; she maintains lifelong residency in the city; her office emphasizes resident engagement through updates—all according to the official website.
