Rep. Joseph Chaplik, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 representing the state’s 3rd House District, has posted several comments on social media regarding recent developments in a Somali day care fraud case and broader political issues.
On December 30, 2025, Chaplik wrote, “The Somali ‘Day Care’ fraud revelations are proving once again why elections matter. Can you even imagine the chaos in our country if Tim Walz and Kamala Harris were in charge? We ought to bring back DOGE and when you send me to Congress, that will be at the top of my list.”
Later that same day, he added another post referencing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar: @Tim_Walz @IlhanMN @nickshirleyy we know who is behind this criminal enterprise…
On December 31, 2025, Chaplik praised citizen journalist Nick Shirley for his reporting efforts: “Great work @nickshirleyy. Citizen Journalism is so important to the dissemination of unfiltered information (TRUTH) to the American public. We need more brave men and women like Nick who do the work that the corporate media refuses to do.”
Chaplik assumed office after being elected in 2023, replacing previous state representative Andres Cano.
