The International School of Arizona (ISA), a nonprofit private school in North Scottsdale, has been recognized by two local newspapers for its educational programs and community engagement. For the third year in a row, ISA was named the #1 Best Private School in Scottsdale for 2025 and received the Reader Recommended Preschool award from the Scottsdale Progress. The school’s mascot, Atlas the Palomino, also won Best Mascot for the third consecutive year.
Additionally, the East Valley Independent Newspaper honored ISA as the #1 Favorite Private School and Preschool for 2025. Ms. Diana Ramirez was recognized as Favorite Community Teacher by the same publication.
According to ISA, these awards reflect continued support from Scottsdale residents and highlight its mission of “Opening Doors to Success in a Constantly Changing World.” The school has provided French and Spanish language immersion education for more than 27 years, serving students from 18 months old through eighth grade. Its enrollment currently stands at 362 students across Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School divisions.
ISA’s teaching staff includes native speakers from countries such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and France. The school’s curriculum emphasizes language fluency and cultural understanding. It is accredited by several organizations including the French Ministry of Education, Cervantes Institute, International Spanish Academy by the Spanish Government, and Cognia.
ISA is now accepting applications for Fall 2026 placements. For more information or to schedule a campus tour, interested families can contact Francis Hewitt at fhewitt@isaz.org or call 480-874-2326.
“We are proud to be recognized again by our community,” said Francis Marie Hewitt, Director of Admissions & Marketing at ISA. “These honors reinforce our commitment to providing an immersive learning environment that prepares students for success.”
