On Friday, March 13, the Vanguard Lions—featuring former Chaparral High School standout Natalie Scherzer—defeated the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles 79-75 in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
The game was held at Nicholson Arena at 7:30 p.m., marking their first meeting with the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles in the tournament.
The Vanguard Lions are scheduled to play again on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Nicholson Arena.
