U.S. Representative David Schweikert has recently addressed a range of national and international issues through a series of posts on his official social media account, including healthcare innovation, fiscal policy, and antisemitism.

On December 12, 2025, Schweikert shared his participation at a telemedicine event, stating: “Spoke last night at the @AmericanTelemed Conference about what comes next for telehealth. Innovation is moving faster than Washington, and patients pay the price when policy falls behind.” This comment reflects ongoing debates in Congress over how to regulate rapidly advancing healthcare technologies.

Later that day, Schweikert commented on federal budget deficits with the post: “If $173 billion deficits are now ‘normal,’ then fiscal reality has officially left Washington.” The statement underscores concerns among some lawmakers regarding rising government spending and its implications for fiscal responsibility.

On December 14, 2025, following reports of violence abroad, Schweikert condemned an attack targeting the Jewish community in Australia. He wrote: “I am outraged by the shameful and cowardly terrorist attack targeting the Jewish community in Sydney. I will always stand unequivocally with the Jewish community against antisemitism, terror, and anyone who excuses it or condones it.”

Schweikert represents Arizona’s 1st congressional district. In recent elections he has maintained his seat by narrow margins; in 2024 he defeated Amish Shah with 51.9% of the vote to Shah’s 48.1%, while in 2022 he won against Jevin Hodge by just under one percentage point.
