Catholic Cardinals fall 10-2 to Drew Rangers as Landon Penney pitches 7 innings

Landon Penney, a former Chaparral High School standout, and his college team, the Catholic Cardinals, were defeated 10-2 by the Drew Rangers in their NCAA Division III baseball contest on Sunday, March 15, at 12 p.m.

Talbot Field was the site of the third game this season between the two teams. In their prior matchup Saturday, March 14, the Cardinals lost 15-5 to the Rangers.

Penney pitched seven innings, surrendering three earned runs with one walk and two strikeouts.

The Cardinals are set to host the Elizabethtown Bluejays at Talbot Field on Tuesday, March 17, at 3 p.m. for their next game.
