Camelot Homes has started construction on Villas II, the final new residential development within the Seven Desert Mountain golf community in Scottsdale. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on September 9, with participation from Mayor Lisa Borowsky, members of Desert Mountain Club, and representatives of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce.
Desert Mountain is a master-planned community developed beginning in 1986 by Lyle Anderson in partnership with Taliesin Associated Architects. Seven Desert Mountain, a luxury section within the larger community, began development in 2018 and includes No. 7 at Desert Mountain—a USGA-rated championship par-54, 18-hole golf course that opened in 2019.
Julie Hancock, Managing Director and Co-owner of Camelot Homes, stated: “At Villas II, every homesite backs No. 7 at Desert Mountain, the USGA-rated championship par-54, 18-hole golf course that serves as the focal point of the community.”
Villas II will feature two floor plans from the first phase of Camelot’s Villas project. The homes are designed by Robert Hidey Architects and offer between two to four bedrooms and up to four-and-a-half bathrooms across 2,768 to 3,305 square feet. Homeowners can apply for one of three membership types at Desert Mountain Club. Membership benefits may include access to fitness facilities, tennis courts, private hiking and biking trails spanning 25 miles, six Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses, and several dining options.
“With homes set against the rolling green hills of the golf course, plus world-class amenities and easy access to recreational opportunities at nearby Tonto National Forest and Bartlett Lake, Villas II represents a rare opportunity—and the last chance to own a new home at Seven Desert Mountain.”
Camelot Homes is a family-owned company operating for over five decades. The Hancock family emphasizes quality construction and design elements tailored to clients’ needs. The company aims to maintain high standards while expanding its presence in Arizona’s luxury housing market.
