Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) has announced the launch of Prosano Health Plans for individuals and families, starting in 2026. The new plans are designed to offer both health coverage and care, particularly as federal subsidies for health insurance are being reduced or eliminated.

Rachel Winkler, General Manager of AZ Blue’s Individual plans, stated, “Our goal is to be there for members when they need us, guide them to the highest value care, and at the end of the day, deliver more health.”

Prosano Health Plans were initially introduced for Arizona group members in 2023. According to AZ Blue, members in these plans have experienced 37% fewer emergency room visits, 7% fewer acute hospital stays, and 35% fewer specialist visits compared to other plans.

The new ACA plans include several features as part of the premium. These features are $0 services for primary care, sick care, short-term counseling, on-site labs, and chronic condition care. Members will also have access to personalized care with same or next-day appointments and longer visits when needed. Additional benefits include online scheduling, virtual visits, after-hours support through a nurse line and on-call providers, and assistance in understanding benefits and finding in-network providers.

Dr. Cara Christ, Chief Medical Officer at AZ Blue, commented, “We’ve been building Prosano Health locations for the last several years, and now with 10 care centers, we have capacity to welcome thousands of new members. Patients and providers want the same thing — care that feels more connected, and less rushed.”

Prosano Health members will retain access to AZ Blue’s broader provider network, allowing them to see providers outside of Prosano Health Care Centers.

Open enrollment for ACA Marketplace plans will run from November 1, 2025, through January 15, 2026. More information about Prosano Health plans is available at azblue.com/individuals-and-families/everydayhealth-prosano-plan.

Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and the Cross and Shield Symbols are registered service marks of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Prosano is a service mark and Prosano Health is a registered service mark of Prosano Health Solutions, Inc.
